Dip net, and seine (although seine proved too unwieldy for much of the river). |

Pachypanchax sp. affn. sparksorum Tillapia sp. |
Population Numbers: |
Twenty-five P. sp. affn. sparksorum captured in one hour by two people with dip nets. Size range of specimens was 1.5-3.0" T.L., with the majority being sub-adult individuals. |

Pachypanchax were collected in deeper parts of pools still receiving flowing water, usually over predominately sand substrate receiving some non-filtered light |
